The Indian financial system is undergoing a paradigm shift. With an increased focus on transparency and disclosure requirements, the regulatory bodies like the Reserve Bank of India, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, NFRA, SEBI need to play a more proactive role in boosting confidence in the capital market. The banking system is already staring at the huge burden of non-performing assets and the challenge in meeting the capital requirements under the Basel norms. On the other hand, FII flow in the Indian market through Participatory Notes, Portfolio investments have become very volatile and uncertain. Under these circumstances, it is pertinent that researchers come together and try to deliberate on the problems facing the Indian financial system.
This conference aims at bringing scholarly works in these areas wherein the participants will get a platform to share their existing work and collaborate with others for undertaking research. The conference invites in two tracks of banking and finance; both theoretical and empirical papers are encouraged in areas which include, but are not limited to: Contemporary Issues in Banking, Emerging Trends in Finance, Technology in Banking & Financial Services, Marketing and Banking, Legal and Regulatory Framework, Financial Analytics, HR and Related Issues in BFSI.
