The students of Prayas Club, the social responsibility initiative of IMI Bhubaneswar visited Save Our Souls (SOS) village and conducted an outreach programme on 18th November, 2018. The purpose of this programme was to help children bring out the best in them and make them aware about the importance of various subjects through fun related activities. Various activities like Chinese whisper, rapid fire on general awareness, best of waste, Pencil sketch and Zumba were conducted so as to teach the students various things through these activities and refresh their minds. Such activities are often conducted by students so that they can contribute something for the well-being of the society.
“Dance is the only art in which we ourselves are the stuff of which it is made”. On the same day, a group 11 students participated in “Thirkan”, dance competition in Xpressions’18 (cultural fest) of XIMB. They competed against 6 colleges, namely: XIMB, FIEM Kolkata, IBS Kolkata, Silicon Institute Bhubaneswar, KIIT Bhubaneswar and Sri Sri University Cuttack. The group performed on cultural theme covering various festivals of India and were the 1st Runners up in the competition.
