IMI Bhubaneshwar organized a student driven event “Student Haat 2021” under the guidance of Prof. Devesh Baid, Chairperson – E-Cell and Incubation Foundation on 3rd November 2021. In this event, the students roleplayed like young entrepreneurs, and they had set up different stalls for selling items like momos, mocktails, pastas, sandwiches, etc. To keep up with the festive spirit, a group of students also sold fairy lights so that the students could decorate their hostel rooms and feel like home away from home. The students along with the faculty members came together as a family to celebrate the eve of Diwali.

The festival teaches us that good always wins over evil and that we must eradicate darkness with light. So, on Diwali, the cultural committee of IMI Bhubaneswar planned and celebrated the festival with all their hearts and zeal. The program began with the puja and aarti dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha. The committee had also organized a lively dance, singing, and poetry performance, followed by sky lanterning. The day ended with a ceremonial dinner and a lot of memories to be shared for a lifetime. It felt like a home away from home.
