Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 2020

‘Entrepreneurs are born’, is a proven myth these days. ’Successful Entrepreneurs are made. It all starts with a mindset, built with experience and polished with learnings. If you have a different mindset, you will have a different outcome’.

IMI-B has been continuously promoting entrepreneurship activities among its students and thatof other colleges in Odisha by organizing various events from time to time. In collaboration with Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, MSME, Odisha Government, IMI-B organized a “2 day Entrepreneurship Boot Camp” on 27^th and 28^th August 2020 with the intention of inculcating knowledge in students about entrepreneurship. On the one hand, students discovered the budding entrepreneur within them and on the other hand, they also had the opportunity to share their ideas and visions about entrepreneurial ventures before guest speakers and professors. It started with an inaugural address by Mr. Reghu G, IAS and Shri Pramod Sharma, Ex CIO & VP ADAG Group, and Prof. Ramesh Behl, Director, IMI Bhubaneswar where students were briefed about the importance of entrepreneurship and how to handle failures. This was followed by speech of Mr. Subhabrata Bhattacharjee, NEN Wadhwani Foundation, who talked about ‘Why Entrepreneurship Now’ and enlightened budding entrepreneurs about the Wadhwani Basic Program in Entrepreneurship which can help students in getting knowledge about business models, design thinking and developing the right mindset to deal with it. Other speakers, Shri Prasanta Biswal, Head Startup Orissa and Dr.BaradaPanigrahi, Director of Sri Sri Innovation also spoke, familiarizingstudents about the thriving startup ecosystem and the idea evaluation techniques. Prof. Supriti Mishra, Prof. Kapil Pandla and Prof. Devesh Baid added insights about business model and innovative thinking. All these ideas, tools and technique were gems. The Boot Camp was very engaging as the students participated in full spirit.
