Dr. Vaishnavi holds a PhD from IIM Kashipur, where her doctoral research examined the evolving nature of Human Resource Management in gig and platform-based work contexts. Her academic work is grounded in strategic HRM, the future of work and technology mediated employment relationships. She adopts qualitative, quantitative and theory-driven approaches to address contemporary challenges in people management and employment systems. Her research interests span algorithmic HRM, gig work and inclusive workplaces. She has presented her work at leading national and international academic conferences and has received recognition for her scholarly contributions. Her research seeks to generate conceptually rigorous and empirically grounded insights that advance academic debates while remaining closely attuned to real-world organizational dilemmas.  

Her research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals and has been presented at leading national and international academic conferences, including the Academy of Management (AOM), European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS), Indian Academy of
Management (INDAM), and the India Management Research Conference (IMRC). Alongside her research, she actively contributes to the academic community through peer review and editorial service. She serves on the Early Career Review Board of Employee Relations and regularly reviews for reputed journals and conferences in the fields of human resource management and employment relations.
