IMI-B holds MDP on Building Corporate Strategy for Effective CSR & Sustainability

International Management Institute (IMI), Bhubaneswar organised a 2-day Management Development Programme on "Building Corporate Strategy for Effective CSR & Sustainability" at its campus. Inaugurating and welcoming the participants Prof. Ramesh Behl, Director IMI, Bhubaneswar spoke that corporate social responsibility of the corporate houses is to think and do well for the society, which in alternate brings goodwill to the companies. Creating happiness for the people in the society is the success in life and as such, sustainability comes automatically. The people initiating CSR in the corporate houses have to make strategies for it success. Mr. Tapan Kumar Sit, DGM (HR) of NTPC graced the inaugural ceremony.

The talks on the programme were Sustainability through community participation, new provisions under the Companies Act-2013, empowering women for CSR, water & sanitation management and managing stakeholder expectations etc. A good number of participants were from NTPC and the eminent speakers in the programme were Dr. Ambika Nanda, Head- CSR of Tata Steel, Odisha, Mr. J. Devraj of UNICEF and Prof. Madhumita Roy. Prof. Supriti Mishra of the institute directed and coordinated the programme with talks on emerging topics of CSR in several sessions.
