CORPORATE TALK- MR. RAJAT MATHUR

 

On 9^th July,2022 IMI Bhubaneswar invited Mr. Rajat Mathur, Managing Director of Morgan Stanley as the honourable speaker for a corporate talk. A prominent figure in the field of talent acquisition and management, Mr. Mathur addressed the students on the topic- ‘Changes in HR practices post pandemic’.

According to Mr. Mathur, cultural integration is a big issue being faced post the Covid-19 pandemic. He also discussed the effects of the pandemic on the prevalent HR policies. Dispersed workspace and work force is a result of the hybrid model that was being followed by most of the organisations during the peak of the pandemic. The second impact of the pandemic is the heightened demand for flexibility in terms of work hours, work location and working days.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, employee’s wants increased in terms of childcare benefits, paternity leave, insurance for extended family members. Also, organisations now are starting to look at talent acquisition and recruitment in terms of mobilising of global jobs and talent that can be found anywhere. Open sourcing of campus talent has increased. Also, in case of women employees, the return to the physical mode has been quite challenging thus, the organisations are expected to become agile and flexible.

This corporate talk was long-awaited and was received with great enthusiasm from the student's side.
