INDEPENDENCE DAY 2020

15^th of August every year holds tremendous ground in the list of national days as it reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new era and freedom from the clutches of British colonialism of more than 200 years. On this day Prime minister of India hoists tricolour at the Red fort, Old Delhi, and delivers speech to the Nation. Though it is celebratory annual programme, this year due to COVID-19 pandemic it was celebrated in a different way in IMI Bhubaneswar. IMI Bhubaneswar celebrated the 74th Independence Day by hoisting the flag by Covid warriors in the campus. A few on-campus participants participated by strictly maintaining social distancing norms and other safety protocols as per the orders of Government of India and Odisha. Prof. Ramesh Behl (Director, IMI Bhubaneswar) addressed the stakeholders over zoom and encouraged students to become “Atmanirbhar” so that they can contribute to the growth and development of the nation.
