International Management Institute, Bhubaneswar organized an International Conference on “Innovation, Market Competition & Economic Development” in association with EGADE Business School, Mexico on 9th & 10th December, 2016. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Ramesh Behl, Director, IMI, Bhubaneswar & Prof. Rajagopal, Professor and National Researcher, EGADE Business School, Mexico.
 
The event conducted 10 technical sessions which were attended by academicians, faculties, research scholars & students from premier institutes like IIM Calcutta, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Udaipur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IMI Delhi, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, SCMHRD, Pune etc along with industry experts. Technical session 1 was based on “Make In India: Environment for Innovation & Entrepreneurship’ and was chaired by Prof. Rajagopal. The technical session 2 was based on the theme of Smart City and was chaired by Mr. Manoj Panda, Centre Head, TCS. Technical session 3 was based on “Economics of Innovation” and was chaired by Prof. Siddharth Verma, Professor, IMI, New Delhi. Similarly other sessions were based on various significant aspects like Skill development, Entrepreneurship, Sectoral Innovation, Globalisation & Technology in Marketing, Global Business Environment etc. Two workshops were also conducted by Prof. Rajagopal based on Research Methodologies and Architecting Enterprise.
 
The 2-day conference was a great success as it discussed the paramount importance of Innovation in today’s changing business scenario for economic upliftment along with upcoming trends, concepts related to Analytics, Make in India, Smart City etc.
