IMI Bhubaneswar has a rich culture which is reflected in the numbers of clubs and committees it has for its students. Every year the new batches of students go through the selection process to get an entry into various Clubs and Committees through a rigorous selection process including interviews and different rounds of selection which are conducted by the senior batch of students under the guidance of the faculty members. The new students participate with great enthusiasm and give their best in the selection process and the senior batch students select their successors with the help of faculty members. It is like the warm-up phase for freshers and an effort to groom their personality for facing the corporate world that’s waiting for them in future.
IMI Bhubaneswar being a student driven campus, the clubs and committees of IMI-B are managed by students. These clubs and committees are created so as to present an opportunity to “learn while you practice” model of imparting managerial skills among the students. All the clubs and committees are responsible for different set of defined activities ranging from day-to-day management of student affairs to placements to entrepreneurship and incubation. “Of all the hard jobs around, one of the hardest is being a good teacher”, and IMI Bhubaneswar is blessed to have the best among them. All these clubs and committees are supervised and headed by designated faculty members, who with their immense expertise and experience guide students to organize different events, competitions and various other activities.
The different Students Clubs at IMI-B are COLOSSEUM (Marketing Club), FINTELLECTS (Finance Club), INSIGNIA (HR Club), CYNOSURE (Operations Club), PRAYAS (CSR Club), LITERARY Club, and Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) Club. And, different Students’ Committees are Branding Committee, Cultural Committee, E-Cell Committee, IMI Bytes-the Newsletter Committee, Media & PR Committee, Mess Committee, Placement Committee, and Sports Committee. All these clubs and committees are an integral part of the institute governance system and allow students to take active part in the same.
