ALUMNI TALK October2023

In a recent Alumni Talk held on October 13th, IMI Bhubaneswar invited our esteemed alumnus Mr. Anirudha Nandy, belonging to the batch of 2014-16 for the campaign ‘Legacy: Alumni Shaping Tomorrow’. He shed light on how to find and pursue our true calling. He is currently a successful senior program manager at Razorpay. Mr. Nandy talked about his journey and experience at IMI Bhubaneswar and how that laid the foundation for his career. He discussed how we can take on live projects or internships in domains in which we are interested. In this way, we will be able to cross-check whether this is our true calling or not. He mentioned that before taking any specialisation we need to be hundred and ten percent sure because it is in a way a very big decision for our career. He stressed personality development and told the students to obtain qualities such as self-confidence, professionalism, and a never-give-up attitude throughout their careers. He motivated the audience to invest in building an all-rounded personality because it helps tremendously in corporate.

 

Furthermore, Mr. Nandy talked about the crucial role of communication skills in the interview process of summer placements and final placements and stressed the need to be articulate and honest in whatever we say in front of the interviewers. Lastly, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Anirudha Nandy for his insightful talk, which makes us believe in the power of education and how it can change our lives forever.
