On November 23, 2023, International Management Institute (IMI) Bhubaneswar hosted a virtual conference conducted by the Vishelshan Club. The virtual meeting gives students an insightful introduction to Large Language Models (LLMs) in the dynamic landscape of business by our guest, Mr. Subrata Mandal, Machine Learning and Data Science Manager at PWC. The whole session is about exploring the cutting-edge landscape of linguistic technology.

The workshop offered a thorough explanation of the complex algorithms that power LLMs, guided by leaders. Students were taken through the development and evolution of the model. The session went beyond theoretical concepts, exploring into practical insights on how LLM is reshaping communication strategies, marketing approaches, operational processes within the business domain, and decision-making processes within the business firm.

The use of LLM application in real dynamic fields includes different functions fraud assessment, risk and finance documentation in financial institutions, legal document analysis and summarization by legal institutions, automatic report generation and analysis medical, and many more. These insights are given by our guest Mr. Subrata Mandal. Mentioned the future challenges of bias and unfairness. He also gave a short note on how we can overcome this by transparency and awareness.
