ASHOKA AND KALINGA WAR A VIRTUAL DRAMA

IMI always supports and provides students with a platform to participate in a lot of events and hone their skills in as many areas as possible. On 13^th February 2021, the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) club of International Management Institute, Bhubaneswar conducted itsfirst-ever virtual drama “Ashoka and Kalinga war” for the students of IMI Bhubaneswar and the partner institutes under EBSB initiative. Many students of IMI, Bhubaneswar along with the EBSB club members hosted and performed in the event.

The activity covered the events of the Kalinga war and how the massive bloodshed and destruction at the battle of Kalinga that turned Ashoka into a legendary pacifist in world history. It also provided a good opportunity to explore and exchange the cultural diversity of the state of Odisha as the play was narrated in both English and Odiya languages. Many participants witnessed the event which was later uploaded to social media platforms as well. The play got appreciation for the fun and the appealing experience it gave to students.
