Founder’s Talk

IMI Bhubaneswar’s Entrepreneurship Cell and Incubation Foundation has been successful in organizing the founder’s talk by Shri Abhijeet Sahoo, who is the founder of Fastech Fashion and Good Meetings. It was held in the open theatre of IMI’s campus on the 20^th of February and the event started around 5 pm after our Director Prof. Ramesh Behl sir welcomed Mr. Sahoo with a bouquet. Mr. Sahoo started by sharing his share of experience of how the company built a video conferencing tool called “GoodMeetings” and what has been its graph and the beautiful journey he had while creating this tech company. He mentioned how the India- China conflict gave them the advantage to grow because the popular video conferencing app called “Zoom” has the founder of Chinese origin. From this conflict the company benefitted a lot and got an opportunity to represent itself as an Indian company and as a result their number of users has increased rapidly in a very short span of time. Despite having some ups and downs during the journey, he created a business of 100 crores and it’s a number which we can’t ignore. There were times during COVID when it was difficult for the company to pay salaries to its employees but they did rise above all these problems and from there they have come to a position where their worth is 100 crores which is a huge achievement and an inspiration for all the young aspiring future leaders. The event was closed with a Question and Answer session where our curious minds asked a lot of questions to Mr. Sahoo. It was a wonderful evening that we all will remember for a very long time because the story itself sets an example for our aspiring entrepreneurs and tells how against all odds success can be created if you truly want it and work towards it.
