The Institute celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on September 2, 2019. Ganesha Chaturthi is the Hindu festival celebrated in honour of the elephant-headed god Ganesha who is believed to remove all hardships and difficulties from people’s lives. The Lord is also believed to bestow knowledge and wisdom, hence worshipping Him has a lot of relevance for students. We at IMI Bhubaneswar celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with lot of enthusiasm and positive energy every year, with the Cultural Committee of IMI, Bhubaneswar taking the lead in making it successful.
Students, staffs and faculty members took part in the celebration of the puja this yea. Morning and evening aarti continued for 5 more days after Ganesh Chaturthi and finally students bade farewell to the deity by immersing the idol in nearby river.
