IMI SANG DIWALI

Diwali has always been about family and the thrill of celebrating with my loved ones, whose absence makes the occasion less joyful. However, as an IMI Bhubaneswar student this year, Diwali festivities brought us closer and made us feel like family. As we made sure that our home away from home was furnished with candles and diyas enhanced the ambience. As those of us from different parts of countries actively participated in the festivities, some of us lit diyas, while others made sure that the rangoli, with its numerous colours, represented the diversity of students at IMI Bhubaneswar. The popular games like Housie and Tambola, which are the usual tradition at family gatherings, were conducted. For the festival of lights, all students were dressed in ethnic attire and congregated for aarti. We all danced on the dandiya theme to all our favorite tracks through the evening. Never did we imagine that Diwali away from Home can be fun too, and IMI Bhubaneswar made it happen!
