JANMASHTAMI

07/09/23 - The campus of International Management Institute, Bhubaneswar was covered in a happy glow of tradition and festivity as the College Cultural Committee pulled off a grand Janmashtami celebration. The event was a lively showcase of the rich cultural diversity that our institution proudly embraces.

The highlight of the Janmashtami celebrations was the exciting Dahi Handi competition, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from both senior and junior batches. This year, the committee introduced a unique twist by organizing separate Dahi Handi events for girls and boys in both batches.

The lively and spirited participants, formed human pyramids, aiming to break the 'Handis' hanging high above. Cheers and applause filled the air as the 'Govinda' displayed remarkable teamwork and agility to reach for the prized 'Dahi Handis.' The girls, no less competitive, showcased their strength and determination in creating an exciting atmosphere on campus.

In addition to the Dahi Handi competition, the Cultural Committee organized a diverse cultural program that celebrated the essence of Janmashtami. The event commenced with soulful prayers and 'aarti,' creating a spiritual aura that set the tone for the evening.

The cultural show continued with mesmerizing dance performances that portrayed Lord Krishna's life and stories. The traditional 'Raas Leela' was a breathtaking sight that fascinated the audience, capturing the essence of Krishna's playful and charming persona.

The evening concluded with a unique segment titled 'Mulakate aur Baate,' an open mic session that allowed students to express their thoughts, share stories, and connect with their colleagues. This interactive platform encouraged students to showcase their experiences and stories in the form of poetry.

The event was successful, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the College Cultural Committee. It brought together students from diverse backgrounds, nurturing a sense of togetherness and cultural appreciation.
