LEADERSHIP TALK - TED GANTEN AND MANISH SOIN October2023

On the 5^th of October, IMI Bhubaneswar organized a virtual leadership talk of two industry leaders from Seimens which include Ted Ganten– Global Head of Export Control and Customs, Seimens Healthineers, and Manish Soin- Senior VP of Export Control and Customs, Seimens Healthineers.

They spoke about Seimens as a company, its products, and why it is so valuable throughout the world. They especially talked about the healthcare products of Siemens like X-ray machines, MRI machines, Radiation Oncology Machines, and Healthcare software connected with the machines. Health care products of Seimens are very valuable and in demand throughout the world.

The discussion started with the leaders talking about the products, and their categories and going in-depth about explaining them. Then the discussion went further into managing the supply chain and logistics of the products, warehouse, storage, and inventory management.

The leaders specialized in Export control, customs, and duty, so they talked about the import and export of products and various customs duties and norms. They talked about how they are planning to set up more factories in India and make India their manufacturing base.

Students were very excited to hear from them and all students participated wholeheartedly in the discussion. The session was very thought-provoking and insightful. Students get to know a lot many things from the session.
