With this thought in mind, IMI Bhubaneswar presented a Leadership Talk session with Mr. Ankush Jain, currently working as the Sales Head (North India) with Ofbusiness.com. He engaged with the students of IMI-B over a riveting talk on 16th October 2020 on the topic of “Lessons for Excellence”.

For the students of IMI Bhubaneswar, it was an absolute pleasure to hear from the alumnus and Gold Medalist of IIM Rohtak and Delhi College of Engineering, Mr. Ankush Jain who inspired and encouraged the aspiring managers of IMI Bhubaneswar with his insights into the ‘Industry of Sales and Marketing’. His personality was contagious. He has worked with many organizations such as Deloitte, Business Standard, and Pfizer. With Ofbusiness.com, he and his team are working to power Indian SMEs with smart financing and establish a robust sales channel in North India. According to him, ‘success is relative’. Different people may have different opinions and constraints to define success, but for a professional who wants to be successful, it is important to maintain Humility, Hunger, Hustle, and Honesty (4Hs) at the workplace. Crisp communication is important to deliver one's ideas. From a small conversation to a presentation on big business strategies, it is always better to have short and effective communication to make it meaningful. Self-motivation, being humble and quiet like the renowned persons JRD Tata and Narayan Murthy are important aspects of one’s personality.
Leadership and learning are indispensable. Students need to, “keep brushing their general knowledge and domain knowledge, and keep honing their skills to become a professional”.
