MARKETING CONCLAVE
The Marketing Conclave was held on 5th November 2022 and the initiative was taken by the Colosseum Club. In this conclave, we had eminent speakers who shared their knowledge with the students of IMI, Bhubaneshwar.
SHUBHAM AGRAWAL
(Product Manager at Zeta Suite)
Mr. Agarwal talked about how the microeconomic condition affected the service business model for example covid-19. He discussed transitioning costs that are required from a service-based company into the product. They shared challenges like customer behaviour towards their habits and direct product trust and loyalty.
SEHAJ SELI
(Senior Account Director at Linkedin)
Mr. Sehaj talked about the idea of the traditional business model and social media influence on PSS. He discussed many companies that have turned their services into products for urban areas for example consulting firm selling their courses in the market. He talked about the immense scope of growth in the product and service and the challenges faced during the growth journey.
 
HARSHVARDHAN CHAUHAN
(VP, CMO at Spencer’s Retail)
Mr. Harsh talked about different product and service manufacturing companies and how Gen Z is shifting to an experienced model rather than only acquiring it. He said that the product service system concept can be a potential option since it meets requirements of sustainability and also introduce a type of business in which the focus is placed on delivering function instead of providing value through tangible products.
ROHIT GULATI
(Director Marketing at Johnson & Johnson)
In his discussion, Mr. Gulati discussed the healthcare system and how we are moving into a technical stage where it is strengthened. He explained about three different industries and stated that it’s a bigger challenge for the service industry, it’s not a differentiator rather it’s a need today. He mentioned that aggregation of technology makes service stronger.
 
VASUDHA GIRDHAR
(Head of Digital Marketing at Maruti Suzuki India Limited)
She talked about how she began by determining the business model and offering the services in accordance with it. She concentrated on pricing strategy and effective channel use. She mentioned that she places a strong emphasis on using digitalization-based operation channels to cut costs. She gave the Apple iPhone as an example of a product that undergoes minor iterative changes every year to better suit the needs of the consumer base at the time of release.
 
 
PRASHANT ANEJA
(E-commerce Lead at Motorola Mobility)
Mr. Prashant Aneja talked about how the subscription model is booming in the business industry. He had given examples of Phone companies, Transportation companies (Uber, Ola), and food companies (Swiggy, Zomato) that how all these subscriptions motivate the customers in the ecosystem. To throw some more light on the topic he also shared an example of YULU which is a leading shared and sustainable micro-mobility platform to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution
