SIP experience of Mehboob Alam

Working for Spencer’s Retail Ltd. in managing the slow selling SKUs helped me to understand the importance of inventory management, demand forecasting challenges and the power of exogenous factors affecting the smooth flow of day to day business and profitability of company. I had my previous work experience into marketing so here in IMI, I got relevant exposure into operations also through Spencer’s and could leverage my expertise. It was a great experience working with one of the largest player in organized retail industry in India. In retail industry, the secret of survival are Continuous learning, improvising and having a holistic view to cope up with the dynamic environment. The learnings will definitely help me to stand out against the crowd and to attain my goals in the future.
