, Head – Business Finance, Water Health India (P) Ltd, delivered an interesting talk to students on the 31st of January, 2015.

Water Health is a 'for-profit' organization that caters to the underserved population worldwide by providing safe drinking water thereby creating a social impact, while at the same time generating adequate returns for its stakeholders. WaterHealth sets up WaterHealth Centres (WHCs) in underserved communities, operated using the Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) model. Mr Mohapatra explained their organization’s business model and how they have created a niche market segment in the process.

The session was interactive in Question & Answer format. Through this, Mr. Mohapatra talked about the operations of the organization and its contribution to the society specially the rural areas. He also shared about his own career journey, emphasizing on the present day job pre-requisites including but not limited to, good communication skills, right attitude, gaining acceptability and adaptability to be ahead in corporate life. With his own passion quite obviously evident, he also highly recommended to be passionate about one’s work.

This interactive session sated the questions students had about career focus as well as this industry. This session also offered insights into thinking about how to map out their own career path. It was an interactive session to gain key inputs about the corporate world.
