EAD EVENT BY IIT KHARAGPUR

IMI Bhubaneswar in association with IIT Kharagpur conducted an Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive (EAD). Three very prominent speakers graced the event and they were Mr. Ravi Mathur, Co-founder and CTO Insurance Samadhan, Mr. Sujay Santra, Founder and CEO of iKure Technosoft, Mr.Shubham Raj, founder of Webingo.

 
Sujay Santra founded iKure in 2010 with the goal of achieving zero mortality in primary healthcare. He has over 12 years of industry expertise and has worked with IBM and Oracle. iKure has made several changes to the public healthcare system from an individualized curative model to a community-based preventative healthcare system to ensure the overall well-being of communities after realizing there are not enough doctors in India to treat patients individually. He discussed the clinic that iKure has established in Kumirmari, Sunderbans, as well as his book "Story of Hope," which provides information about the work that iKure has done in Nagaland.

Ravi Mathur (Co-Founder and CTO Insurance Samadhan) – He narrated his entrepreneurial journey, the reasons his first venture failed, and the significance of failure in the startup sector. He gave some perspective on how both talent and attitude are significant in one's life in the twenty-first century by giving the example of two great cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli. His precise observations regarding talent and attitude state that while talent will take us places, attitude shall push us towards the objective. He used the mythological tale of Ramayana that building of Ram Setu to teach us self-discipline. He further emphasized on the value of a mentor by presenting another mythological instance from the Mahabharat, in which Krishna mentored the Pandavas. The parting two sets of advice for startups at the end: Your product should be market-fit, and Idea execution is all about.

Subham Raj Sharma (Founder of WEBINGO) - He shared his opinions on various entrepreneurship ventures. He provided the students with some advice on how to use technology, citing LinkedIn as an example and talking about things like, "Have some on-the-ground experience, try to be with people, and decide the goals and path for yourself."
